Kingsley M.I.K. is another member of the M.I.K. Fam. dance family. Unfortunately, his path didn´t lead him directly to dancing. As his brothers, Kingsley also possessed the talent to play soccer and simultaneously, he also did boxing.
At the age of 9 years, Kingsley met a group of adolescence in Reinickendorf who called themselves the FlyingSteps and with full enthusiasm, Kingsley watched these older boys dance their cool moves and how the were able to spin on their heads etc. From that moment on he was driven to learn more at the youth club and that’s when he learned his first basics. After two years of hard disciplined training Kingsley had a chance to dance at the Berlin Philharmonics to classical music by Edvard Gried – PeerSuit No.1. Due to the fact that his soccer and boxing took up so much time of his he wasn´t able to focus 100 percent on his dancing. So, the young dancer decided to take a break of 4 years and restarted intense dancing at the age of 15. When he was 17, Kingsley broke his right hand, which hindered him to continue with Breaking, however, it couldn´t stop him from dancing altogether. Kingsley longed for something where he could let out all of his energy, something powerful. Once he met his mentor, Prince M.I.K. and saw him do Krumping, it was clear to this young Breaker, what it was he was longing for. Now that he found his passion for Krumping, Kingsley once more had to step back again in order to focus on his education and job pursuit. Again, he wasn´t able to focus 100 percent on dancing even though, now as a Krump dancer he was very well able to convince with his moves and was always viewed as a challenge at battles.
Meanwhile, a young lady who worked at a model agency had approached Kingsley and recommended he should start modeling. Soon, he was booked by H&M, Jack&Jones, Olymp&Hades, LTB Jeans, 4 Insatiable to name just a few. But it was dancing that allowed him to thrive in his passion. Meanwhile, Kingsley danced Hip Hop Newstyle and mixed it up with elements from Krump in order to step out of the crowd. Whoever has had the chance to watch Kingsley dance can see that he moves to the music not only with his body but also with his soul, with an expression that convinces in every way, which was the reason he achieved his first personal success at the Funkin Stylez in 2012. But Kingsley doesn´t only perform on stage, he also performed in the music video of Megaloh´s “Dr. Cooper ich weiß” together with Nikeata Thompson as well as in the movie “Türkisch für Anfänger”, where Kingsley held a small part.
Now, the dancer is dedicating his time and energy completely and solely to his dance family “M.I.K. Fam”.
