In 1997, Dennis Kyere was born in a small town in Nordrhein-Westphalen, called Duisburg. When Dennis was 5 years old his family decided to move to Berlin, in order to proceed with business and this was only the beginning of Dennis´ travels. With his two older brothers and his father he moved into a 2 bedroom apartment, in the district of Berlin Neukölln. Due to his African roots, Dennis already has dance in his blood. He followed his oldest brother Prince M.I.K. to every rehearsal, in order to expand his love and inspiration for dancing, which allowed him to discover his final talent within the realms of dancing. In 2006, his career began with the crew of “New Generation”, whom he viewed as a second family. Several times he was able to perform as the “special act” with his group at such an early age and brought the crowds to roar to songs by Michael Jackson, James Brown, Big Momma´s House Songs, to name just a few.
In the same year (2006), M.I.K. Family is established with Dennis as the youngest member. With its 5 members, Prince, Isaac, Kingsley, Richie and Dennis the group draws the attention of the viewers with their style. Their success encompasses 1. Place at the Berlin Championship, Berlin Newcomer Champions in Krump, New Kidz On the Block Winners in London as well as 2. Place at the Multi Styles Battle in Gloucester, to name just a few and is looked upon as his personal reward for his passion for dance.
In 2009, Dennis had to move to London with his father, in order to achieve better possibilities regarding school and employment. His older brothers, now adults and living on their own, could not accompany Dennis on his travels, which however, did not result in the fact that Dennis lost his love for dancing – quite the contrary, he made the best out of his circumstances and put all his energy in his dance, which enabled the “monster” in him to come to the surface and allowed him to shortly make a name for himself in London, by proving his talent at various battles and shows, where he represented his group from Berlin. Dennis finds his inspiration within his group as well as dance legends, such as Tight Eyez and Storm, which has influenced his personal dance style tremendously. He introduces himself as a Hip Hop dancer, but simultaneously, he is focused on styles such as Krump, Popping, African Dance, House and Breakdance.
